Dietary health

Just as our health is so dependent on our diet, so it is with our pets. An adequate amount of properly balanced food, offered once or preferably twice daily is essential for a long and happy life.

We recommend and sell a range of regular and specially formulated diets.

Our Veterinary Nurses are trained to advise you. Please call us to discuss your pet's dietary needs.

Dental Health

There is no doubt that care of the teeth and gums can contribute greatly to the comfort and longevity of pets. Regular dental examinations are an important part of making sure your pet's teeth and gums are healthy and should be carried out by a vet. If you notice your pet having difficulty with eating, unpleasant smells from their mouth or swellings around or in the mouth there is cause for concern. Lumps may be painful abscesses or even growths.

An examination of the mouth and teeth forms part of a physical examination of a patient. This examination will confirm either that the mouth and dentition are normal or that dental treatment may be necessary. Diseased teeth should be extracted, the remaining teeth scaled and polished and home dental care started.
